Please note that the county of Avon ceased to exist in 1995 and all towns have been incorporated into the Counties of Somerset or Gloucestershire. Broadly speaking, towns in South Avon have gone to Somerset and towns in North Avon have gone to Gloucestershire. For instance, Bristol is now in South Gloucestershire and Bath is now in Somerset.
