Wharfage Cottage is situated in a riverside location on the Wharfage in Ironbridge where the trows of the River Severn unloaded their cargoes in yesteryear. The museum of the river is just a few minutes walk away, where the history of Ironbridge is on display.

Wharfage Cottage is approximately 300 years old, having previously operated as a sweet manufactory and the present garage was once a blacksmiths shop. The cottage was originally two cottages positioned one above the other in the unique style of the Ironbridge Gorge. The two houses have now been combined and lovingly restored into extremely comfortable, cottage style bed and breakfast accommodation, with all bedrooms either en suite or with private bathroom. The cosy breakfast room has exposed beams and an open fire.

Wharfage Cottage is in an ideal position for easy access to all local historical sites. Sleepy market towns and beautiful countryside surround the area. Ironbridge is within easy driving distance for those en route to the mountains and sea shores of Wales.
