Blinkbonnie is a modern coastal villa standing high on the shoulder of a thickly wooded glen which leads down to the sea, at the mouth of which nestles the picturesque village of Portpatrick.

Standing within its own landscaped garden with palm trees and gently sloping lawns, Blinkbonnie looks west over the clustered rooftops of Portpatrick to the Irish Sea. At night the horizon twinkles with the lights of the coastal villages of Northern Ireland. The harbour and sea front are but a few minutes' walk away, and it is from this spot that the exciting Southern Upland Way begins.

In order to cater for the more discerning guest, Blinkbonnie has undergone extensive renovations and now has an enviable reputation of being one of the best guest houses of its class in Galloway. There are five bedrooms, all of which have en suite facilities. All rooms are on ground level and suitable for visitors with movement difficulties. The house is centrally heated and fully insulated. There is secure off-road parking available in a private car park.

PORTPATRICK is a lovely fishing village. Certainly it has everything the holiday maker could ask for - from excellent golf to equally excellent fishing. There are beautiful beaches nearby, splendid coastal scenery and walks, trout and salmon fishing, bird watching, good restaurants, tennis, bowls, putting, water ski-ing and pony trekking. The weather in Portpatrick is often smiling when the rest of the country is a'shiver, for the Gulf Stream is close off shore.
