The Cherries is a beautiful family home set in its own gardens backing onto Loch Green golf course. Ottoline Drive is a quiet and pretty tree-lined avenue only 1.5 miles from the town centre, restaurants and beaches

Bedrooms are beautifully appointed, all with colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. En suite rooms are available and there is parking for up to five cars. Guests can sit in the garden, which has a swing for younger visitors.

Troon lies in sheltered south west Scotland with its coast warmed by the Gulf Stream, so that palm trees grow in many gardens. Troon South Beach has an annual 'clean beach' award and its safe waters are ideal for sailing and boating. The harbour fishmarket is an attraction.

Troon has eight 18-hole golf courses, including famous Royal Troon, home of the British Open every seven years. There are 44 courses in Ayrshire within an hour's drive.

Day trips can be made to the Isles of Arran and Cumbrae, and cruises in the paddle steamer 'Waverley' are a must. Culzean and Kelburn castles/country parks are within an hour's drive. Glasgow: half an hour. Edinburgh: two hours.
