Set in a beautiful part of Scotland with lovely views of the Campsie Fells and surrounding countryside this is an ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and Central Scotland.

The present farm buildings date from around 1800 and are still in everyday use. We are a small farm of 40 acres and keep horses at livery and graze sheep. We also have hens, ducks and geese! The name Drumquhassle comes from the Gaelic: "drum" means ridge and "quhassle" refers to the Roman Fort (unexcavated) on the hill at the top of of our fields.

We are one mile from the village of Drymen, the Gateway to Loch Lomond, which has an attractive square with Post Office, Bank and grocer as well as a number of interesting small shops, hotel, pub and restaurant.

Various sporting activities are available in the area - golf, riding, fishing, shooting, hill-walking etc. These can be arranged for you. Loch Lomond - whose Bonnie Banks are but ten minutes drive from us - offers many oportunities for water sports.

Glasgow, City of Culture and City of Architecture, and Stirling with its impressive Castle, home of Scottish Kings and William Wallace, are approximately 20 miles away.

ACCOMMODATION:

One family room sleeping up to four, one double room and one twin room, all with en suite facilities. The bedrooms also have tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, central heating and beautiful views of the Campsie Fells.

Meals are served in the conservatory. Excellent, freshly cooked, three course evening meals are available. We grow all our own vegetables and soft fruit. Vegetarians and special diets can be catered for and packed lunches are provided on request.
