Pickering is an ideal holiday base for exploring North Yorkshire. The famous Steam Railway runs from the town centre 16 miles through the magnificent Moors National National Park to the moorland villages of Goathland and Grosmont. This area has recently become famous as Heartbeat Country in the television series.

Also of interest in the area is the Eden Camp World War II Museum, and of course Castle Howard, which has featured in many television series. For the children, Eden Farm and Flamingo Park provide many hours of entertainment.

Sunnyside is a large and relaxing home, facing south, and overlooking open countryside on the edge of the pretty village of Middleton. It is one mile from the very popular market town of Pickering.
