Glen Isla is the most westerly of the lovely Glens of Angus. The gateway to the Glens is Kerriemuir, a small town best known as the childhood home of J M Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan.

David Clark's grandfather came to Purgavie at the foot of Glen Isla in 1904 and the family has farmed here ever since, with potatoes and barley now the main crops, while cattle and sheep graze on the hill.

The large comfortable bedrooms have great views of the surrounding glens and the spacious dining room make meal times a truly Scottish experience.

FACILITIES:

A few miles from Kerriemuir is Glamis Castle, where the Queen Mother lived as a child and Princess Margaret was born. It is open to the public during the summer months.

For the keen bird watcher there is an RSPB reserve at Loch Kinnordy.

Purgavie Farm is an ideal base for touring, hillwalking, fishing, downhill skiing and pony trekking.

SELF CATERING: Also available is one cottage Sleeping 4 persons and one Log house also sleeping 4 persons - further details on request.
