Rudloe Hall was once the large country house of a landed estate, built in an unrivalled position on the crest of Box Hill surrounded by woods and some of the prettiest countryside around Bath. It has stunning views all around with a spectacular view 6 miles down the Box Valley to Bath.

The beautiful Gothic architecture of this fine old house provides the ideal setting for recreating the style and charm of a more elegant and leisured age. In keeping with this, life at Rudloe Hall is not rushed - the pace is relaxed with the emphasis on warm, friendly service.

Our bedrooms have been designed to complement the style and elegance of this marvellous old house. All have delightful views of the garden, woodland, hills or valley and have been individually decorated and furnished giving each its own unique character and charm. Many have tall stone mullioned windows with lounge and dining settings in front of traditional open fireplaces.

In keeping with the character of the house and its romantic atmosphere, open fires have become something of a feature of life at Rudloe Hall and they bring a warm glow to all our reception rooms and many bedrooms. We find that our guests get so much pleasure from them that even on chilly evenings in the summer they are nearly always lit.

Rudloe Hall's fine restaurant is an elegant room with sparkling chandliers, a magnificent fireplace and tall stone mullioned windows. We take pride in the quality and originality of our menus which are compiled only after selecting the freshest, most appertising produce available. Our cellar houses a comprehensive selection of wines - designed to please the most discerning bon viveur.

Although Rudloe Hall is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and great historic interest, you may never want to leave the grounds. With four acres of award winning Victorian gardens to explore, the temptation of a picnic in the sunken garden, a stroll along the woodland walk or a game of croquet, taking tea on the lawn or simply relaxing in a quiet little arbour, may be too much to resist.
