The 17th century Inn has greeted travellers for nearly three hundred years and this friendly tradition continues today.

Relax in a congenial, welcoming atmosphere, amongst beamed ceilings, beautiful antiques, open fire places and Dales hospitality.

Nestled in the heart of the Pennines, this 17th century Coaching Inn is surrounded by stunning scenery of the Upper Wensleydale. Ideally situated between the historic market towns of Leyburn and Hawes, The George and Dragon is the perfect base for exploring historic Wensleydale, touring or walking.

ACCOMMODATION:

We offer seven warm, inviting, well appointed bedrooms, all of which have private en suite facilities. Each room has the usual facilities including television, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and radio alarm clock. A trouser press and ironing facilities are also available.

Our cosy bar serves fine cask conditioned ales including two local brewers, Black Sheep and Theakstons and our food is well renowned with both locals and tourists alike. We are sure good food and accommodation are the foundations for an enjoyable break in this unspoilt area.
