Hunstanton is the jewel in the crown of West Norfolk, with it's clean and safe beach being an ideal base for a family holiday. A short walk along the shore will bring visitors to Hunstanton's famous striped cliffs, laid down below sea level around a hundred million years ago, consisting of carrstone - sandstone cemented by iron oxide, or rust - and two layers of chalk, one stained red by the iron.
As the only west facing resort on the east coast of Britain, "sunny hunny" basks in sunshine long before the bustle on the prom has quietened down. Long, balmy summer evenings lend a romantic atmosphere to this otherwise lively resort and the beach, gardens and clifftop provide a backdrop for some truly spectacular sunsets.
St Moritz was built by the Church in the late 1890's and was originally a rest home for the clergy and later for soldiers to recuperate from the action in World War I. The present owners have recently completed refurbishment of all it's four guest rooms in keeping with it's character and all rooms are now completely double glazed.
We pride ourselves on our friendly hospitality and if you do elect to stay at St Moritz, you can be assured a friendly welcome and a high standard of catering. Your full English breakfast will be presented to you as you would wish and served in our pleasant and sunny dining room. Continental breakfast and special diets can be catered for on request.
We are a NON SMOKING bed & breakfast establishment and NO PETS are allowed.
