The Cuilfail (pronounced Coolfail) Hotel has a long tradition of offering
Highland hospitality to visitors to the Lorne area, a beautiful corner of
Argyll.
Part of the hotel was originally an old drovers' inn, however the majority of the hotel was built during the Victorian era. The hotel nestles at the foot of rolling hills close to the shores of Loch Melfort. The name Cuilfail in Gaelic appropriately means "Sheltered Corner".
The Cuilfail's twelve bedrooms all have en suite facilities with toilet, wash basin, shower or bath, individually controlled central heating, tea and coffee making facilities and colour television. There is a choice of double or twin bedrooms along with two "family suites", both with a separate adjoining children's room.
Our new West Highland Indoor Barbecue restaurant is open to residents and non residents. We offer prime Scotch beef, lamb, pork and venison ... the best local seafood and shellfish ... and lots, lots more .... all cooked in front of you on our new indoor barbeque and grill.
