The Cottages have been converted from the traditional farm buildings at Greenhouse Farm. The old world character has been retained with the thick stone walls, exposed beams and the red pantile roofs, typical of North Yorkshire. Set in the tiny hamlet of Greenhouses and enjoying splendid views over open countryside, the cottages offer a very quiet and peaceful setting for a holiday.

The Cottages have been comfortably and attractively furnished and are centrally heated thoughout. The lounges have solid fuel stoves and colour television and the kitchens are well equipped with electric cookers, fridge-freezers, microwave ovens, automatic washing machines and pleasant dining areas.

There are continental quilts on all the beds and the linen for these and towels are provided.

Electricity and fuel is also included in the price.

Outside there are gardens and patios with garden furniture.

There is ample parking for cars. Sorry, no pets, except guide dogs.

The village of Lealholm, just 1.5 miles away, is in the centre of the lovely Esk Valley and within the North York Moors National Park. Sheep from the moors wander freely through the village and along the banks of the river. It is a small picturesque village with a post office, shop, pub, tea rooms/restaurant, pottery, garage, garden centre, three churches and wonderful countryside walks in all directions. There are plenty of country inns and reasonably priced eating places in the area.

British Rail operates a service through the North York Moors along the Esk Valley from Middlesbrough to Whitby, stopping at Lealholm and all the villages en route.

Greenhouses is less than ten miles from the quaint fishing village of Staithes and Runswick Bay and the sandy beaches of Sandsend and the ancient port of Whitby. The moorland coastal scenery is some of the finest in Britain.

PRIMROSE COTTAGE - Sleeps 4. Two bedrooms, one twin downstairs & one double upstairs. Open plan lounge, dining/kitchen. Bathroom with toilet. Suitable for the disabled.
