Situated in the heart of charming Arundel, The Swan Hotel has been lovingly restored to its former Victorian period elegance. It combines traditional comforts with the facilities of a modern hotel.
The stylish period decor continues into the hotels' award winning restaurant, where our locally acclaimed chef and his team create delicious specialities for their Table d'hote and A la carte menus, with market fresh local seafood, meats, game and poultry being used extensively.
Our elegant Grade II Listed building offers luxurious accommodation. All bedrooms have en suite bathroom, colour television, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities and room service.
The hotels' Brewey Tap Bar proves to be particularly popular with guests and locals alike. Here the beautiful English Oak floors and panelling dating back to the 1800's can still be found. Real ales, Continental lagers and fine wines compliment the delicious traditional fayre ranging from home-made soups, pies and steaks, to good old fashioned puddings.
The town of Arundel is a magical place, its beautiful 12th century castle is the historic seat of the Duke of Norfolk, the premier Dukedom of the realm and is open to the public.
You will find many other places of interest in Arundel including the Cathedral, our picturesque cricket ground, the Wild Fowl and Wetlands Trust, parks, lakes and of course, the River Arun which winds its way through the heart of the town where pleasure boat trips can be taken. Arundel also has a host of shops, restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes, from antiques and collectables to cream teas.
Arundel is well placed for exploring the lovely countryside, Downland villages and coastal areas of West Sussex. It forms an excellent centre for touring Brighton, Worthing, Petworth and the Cathedral town of Chichester, which are all close by.
