Woodlands is a late Victorian house, fully centrally heated and most comfortably furnished. It overlooks the landscape area of Bewerley Park where the annual Nidderdale Show takes place in late September.

From the private guest sitting room the view extends over the park to the river beyond and up to the facing moors. It is a quiet peaceful loction, but within ten minutes walk of the bustling market town of Plateley Bridge.

The nearby places of interest are extensive. The Yorkshire Dales are on the doorstep. Walking is possible directly from the house in the relatively unknown but beautiful Nidderdale. Wharfedale, Swaledale and Wensleydale are all within a short drive. Harrogate - 15 miles - provides colourful gardens and interesting antique shops. Ripon - 12 miles - and York - 30 miles - are historic cities with a wealth of places to visit. Fountains Abbey - 10 miles - is a World Heritage site. Other places of interest in the vicinity include Newby Hall, Parcevall Hall, Knaresborough, Skipton, Grassington, Stump Cross Caverns, Brimham Rocks and How Stean Gorge. Horseriding and fishing is available nearby.

The accommodation available comprises of two guest rooms. The double room has a washbasin, shower and toilet en suite and the twin room has an en suite bathroom with corner bath and shower, wash basin and toilet. Both rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and are attractively furnished. There is a colour television in the guest sitting room.

A full four course breakfast is provided, served in a separate dining room. Dinner is not offered as there are several good restaurants and pubs within easy reach.

The owners are garden lovers and have created a garden full of colour and interest from April to November. Private parking is provided on the terrace outside the house. As we do not have a family room as such, Woodlands is not the ideal place for children. Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement only.
