The traditional detached cottages are all within the extensive grounds of Dunskey Estate, which lies on the extreme south west coast of Scotland. It is one and a half miles from the picturesque old fishing village of Portpatrick with its small harbour, 18 and 9 hole golf courses, putting, sea-fishing, excellent pubs and good food. Three other 18 hole golf courses are within half an hours drive and Turnberry only 45 minutes away.

Dunskey has a Ranger service with a coastal interpretation centre, guided walks, Loch fishing (fly only), some rough-shooting, quality Pheasant shooting, pony trekking and famous Rhododendron gardens near by.

Stranraer is eight miles away with ferry terminals to Ireland - the Seacat to Belfast.

Guests are able to enjoy the beautiful, tranquil surroundings, seclusion and privacy that this glorious location provides. The mature woodlands are a haven for flora and fauna. The unspoiled and picturesque landscape of glens and woodlands extend to the coast.

AUCHTRIEMAKAIN COTTAGE: Sleeps 6

This traditional single storey cottage sits snugly on the side of a hill overlooking the wooded glens of Dunskey and the Irish Channel. Access is via the Estate roads which are largely unmetalled. The property is one and a half miles from Portpatrick.

Situated above two small bays at the foot of Dunskey Glen amid unique suroundings. It is the ideal holiday home for a family who likes the seclusion of the countryside as well as the sea (100 yards) on their doorstep. The golf course is adjacent to the bay. Access is via the Estate road which is unmetalled and winds its way through the woods for one and a half miles.

This cosy, single storey cottage sits in its tranquil garden on its own at the head of Dunskey Glen. Approach is by unmetalled private road and it is situated one mile from Portpatrick.

EAST DUNSKEY: Sleeps 8

This is the extremely spacious east wing of the main house and offers guests an elegant interior, which has been beautifully preserved to depict a gracious bygone era. This is let as a self-catering unit with an optional extra of a cook/help. On a clear day extensive views over the sea reveal the coasts of Ireland and the Isle of Man. There is a billiard room, games room and telephone. Downstairs there is a kitchen with an aga cooker, electric cooker and dishwasher and washing machine. A gun/boot room. Drying room. Library and colour television. Cloakroom. Upstairs there are four twin bedded rooms and three bathrooms. A damage deposit will be required. A seasonal standing charge is made for the heating. Electricity and logs are charged as used. Household linen is included.
