Helpful Holidays is a self-catering holiday agency based in Devon, South-West England. They have an exceptional variety of properties from farmhouses, thatched cottages, country houses and sea view apartments to beach houses and a coastal fort.

All properties are in the West Country, which consists of Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. The hauntingly romantic areas of Dartmoor and Exmoor (Lorna Doone!) are here in some of the most picturesque countryside that England has to offer.

The properties sleep from 2 to 31 people. Many have open fires as well as central heating. Some are over 300 years old, but modernised and made very comfortable without their character being spoilt. Many are of very high quality. Some are very historic, including a hunting lodge once owned by Sir Francis Drake.

You can stay in a pretty Cornish fishing village in a cove by the sea, or in a hamlet with a pub near the 'last great wilderness in South West England' Dartmoor.

Westward Ho, Polperro, Mousehole, Mevagissey, St Michael's Mount, Black Dog, Lands End, Plymouth, to name but a few, and of course ....... Tintagel and Camelford the home of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table!

The prices vary from 150 English pounds per week to 5,500 English pounds per week! but a typical price would be 200 - 400 English pounds per week for the majority of properties, depending on the season of the year that you visit.
