The hotel is located in the small Highland village of Invergarry, clan seat of the MacDonnells of Glengarry and overlooks the River Garry, a well known salmon river.
In keeping with the distinctive Victorian building, the public rooms feature several fabrics and wallpapers designed by artist William Morris during the Victorian era.
The breakfasts are a perfect start to the day - porridge and kippers are both on offer. Lunch and evening meals are served in our bar, offering something for everyone. Vegetarian and childrens options too. There is also our nearby self-service restaurant which is open throughout the day, serving a wide range of snacks and meals (open from Easter to October). Dinner in the hotel Dining Room features fine Scottish produce such as venison, lamb, beef and salmon together with several international dishes.
Our comfortable lounges are the perfect place to relax, enjoy a pre dinner drink or just unwind in front of the log fire. You will find a wide selection of local information, magazines and books for reference during your stay.
The well-stocked bar, a meeting point for the local community, has a range of over thirty single malt whiskies, complete with tasting notes. We also serve real ales featuring several small independent breweries from all over Scotland. Our wine selection as you can imagine is varied, offering a balance between classic wines and new world alternatives.
Enjoy the comforts of home such as full central heating throughout the hotel. There is also a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdrier and a direct dial telephone in every bedroom. Each of our ten comfortable bedrooms has a private bathroom, all have baths and several have showers.
The scenery of the Scottish Highlands are rightly famed worldwide. Much of this can be easily seen in a day's visit from Invergarry. For example, Loch Ness - 7 miles, Ben Nevis - 25 miles, the Isle of Skye - 50 miles.
