Manor Farm built in the 17th century is an attractive house of local granite. Although over 300 years old, it has all the comforts of a modern home and tastefully decorated throughout. The well appointed guest rooms each have private facilities, central heating, colour television, hair dryer, shoe cleaning and tea and coffee making facilities.

Guests have the use of a reading room and pay phone. The breakfast menu features much local produce and offers well prepared, generous portions.

The lane past Manor Farm leads straight to the sea, cliffs, moorlands and the famous Crowns Mine by the sea, which makes this part of the coast line so attractive. Mile after mile of countryside allows the most energetic walker all the freedom desired. Sandy beaches and quiet coves abound and for the more adventurous, gliding, rock climbing, surfing, fishing, hang gliding and sailing are all available in the vicinity.

Manor Farm has seen the tin mining industry rise, flourish and decline, although the local mine at Geevor still operates it's excellent mining museum and is well worth a visit, as is the restored Levant Engine, one mile away.

The farm has witnessed the angry pelting of John Wesley by the villagers of Botallack when he tried to preach from the garden wall and throughout the years has remained an active farm. It has also featured as "Nampara" in the BBC 1 television series "Poldark" and also as Roslyn Farm in "Penmarric".

The Queen Arms public house in Botallack offers good food and good hospitality and there are also a number of restaurants and other pubs nearby.

St Just (one mile), has all the facilities of a small town with the addition of an airport, whilst Penzance (seven miles), has a cinema, art galleries, museums, heliport for the Isles of Scilly and boat trips. St Ives (seven miles), has the newly opened Tate Gallery and Lands End with its magnificent sunsets is but four miles.

Whether you have a lazy or energetic holiday, you will always be aware of the most wonderful views of the Atlantic with its constantly changing moods and colours. The Isles of Scilly can generally been seen 28 miles away and on a really clear day the lighthouse can be picked out with the naked eye.

All this will ensure that you return home after your holiday at Manor Farm with many happy memories.
