KIRKBY LONSDALE

Situated between the Lakes and the Dales, Kirkby Lonsdale has access to some of the loviest scenic landscapes in this country. This historic market town in the heart of the Lune Valley boasts a very fine Norman Church featured in "England's 1000 Best Churches" and beyond the churchyard is the famous Ruskin;s View painted by Turner. The River Lune is splendid for swimming, fishing or simply taking walks by; and the town is central to beautiful walks, a breathtaking beauty spot to visit. Kirkby Lonsdale has excellent shops, restaurants, cafes & pubs and lies very close to the Southern Lakes, the famous Three Peaks, the Howgill Fells, the Eden Valley & the West Coast resorts.

MILL BROW HOUSE

On a brow of a hill above the river, Mill Brow House is a five minute walk from the town centre, the river and the famous Ruskins' View. It is a large early 19th century stone built house with an interesting history, and as a mill - in its past - made calico, horse blankets and snuff. A spacious, elegantly furnished property, ideal for families or couples requiring quality accommodation in attractive, peaceful surroundings.

Mill Brow now a steep narrow road leading to the river bank, and devoid of traffic, was once the main thoroughfare from Kendal to the east, running to a ford across the river.

First floor apartment approached by a spiral staircase which is not suitable for the elderly or very young children. Entrance/dining hall, spacious sitting room overlooking the river, with colour television and gas fire. Kitchen with gas cooker, washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Bathroom with electric shower over bath. Gas central heating.
