Dousgill Farm is situated midway between Richmond and Bernard Castle, approximately two miles from the village of Newsham, where there is village shop and pub serving meals. Further amenities are in the larger centres 10 miles away.
There are castles to visit at Richmond, Middleham and Raby, and the market town of Reeth in the heart of Swaledale. Aysgarth Falls and High Force are nearby with golf available at Richmond and horse riding at Eppleby. Numerous local pubs serve meals. There are lovely country walks, but those wishing to tour the area both the Yorkshire Dales and the Northern Dales are easily accessible.
Both bungalows are approached by a long winding country lane, and offer magnificent views across the fields to the fells beyond.
DOUSGILL FARM BUNGALOW: Sleeps 6. Well equipped dining/kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, one double bedroom and two twin bedded rooms. Fuel provided for open fire. Electric fires and night storage heaters are also fitted.
THE LODGE BUNGALOW: Sleeps 6. Well equipped kitchen and large dinning/sitting room and bathroom. One double bedroom, one twin and one bedroom with full size bunk beds. Electric fires and wall heaters are fitted.
Facilities to both properties are similar: electric cooker, microwave, washer, fridge and colour television.
Bed linen is provided and electricity is included in the rent.
