Barnfield is a 200 acre mixed farm. The farmhouse was built in 1702 and has been in the same family for four generations. It has an oak staircase and oak beams. There are two letting bedrooms; a family room or twin room and a double room. The bedrooms have tea and coffee facilities. There is a separate sitting room and dinning room for visitors, with a colour television.
The Lunsdale Arms in the village serves good food and welcomes children. Picturesque Kirkby Lonsdale is 3.5 miles away, and the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales a short drive. There are many good walks in the area and a tennis court for hire in the village. Tunstall Church has a strong connection with the Bronte sisters and fishing on the famous River Lune can be arranged.
Good food and a warm welcome are guaranteed.
