Merlewood House & Apartments is a Victorian mansion house set in secluded grounds of two acres in a quiet area of the beautiful city of Inverness - an ideal base for touring the Highlands. A pleasant 20 minute walk along the wooded banks of the River Ness takes you to the city centre.

All the bedrooms are spacious and well appointed with views overlooking the grounds and gardens of the house. Each has en suite facilities, colour television, electric trouser press, hair dryer and hospitality tray.

Christine Cordiner offers a full traditional Scottish breakfast using mainly organic products.

Inverness is renowned for its friendly population who ensure that all visitors enjoy the "Highland Hospitality", which the north of Scotland is famous for.

There are many excellent restaurants to be found in the town centre.

Within a few miles of the town you can enjoy many varied activities. There are four major golf courses within 10 miles, along with some of the best salmon fishing in the world.

If however you prefer to relax and enjoy the glorious scenery, we can recommend some day trips that are guaranteed to take your breath away.
