Ideally situated on a quiet side road at the heart of the small Lakeland village of Chapel Stile, Oakdene stands in well landscaped gardens of about one third of an acre. At the front there is free standing parking for at least two cars and at the rear, room for a further three cars. To the side and rear of the accommodation are large attractive gardens. The beautiful open aspect enjoys splendid views of the surrounding fellside.
Constructed in the early 1970's by a local builder, the property was enlarged and completely renovated to form two luxury houses, one three bedroomed and one four bedroomed. Modern kitchens and luxurious bathrooms were introduced and both houses beautifully furnished to an exceptionally high standard. Each house has oil fired central heating and double glazing and is protected day and night by burglar and smoke alarms. Pay phones have been installed and garden furniture and a barbeque is provided for the use of guests.
OAKDENE - THREE BEDROOMED HOUSE
The three bedroomed house is equipped and furnished throughout in magnificent style. Downstairs are two of the three bedrooms, a luxurious fully tiled shower room and toilet.
On the first floor is an open plan living area built on this level to take maximum advantage of the views of the fells. The kitchen area has the latest modern appliances, a large dining area to seat six and a comfortable lounge area which has a satellite television and video and a selection of board games. A small hallway leads to the bathroom and toilet and stairs to the attic bedroom.
OAKDENE - FOUR BEDROOMED HOUSE
Entrance to the four bedroomed house is through a large slateroofed porch with plenty of room to store outdoor wear, coats, prams and pushchairs. This leads into the hall, off which is a fully tiled shower room, wash basin and toilet. The cleverly designed living area has been laid out in a horseshoe around a superb central fireplace, built of local Lakeland stone. The natural wood kitchen is an integral part of the living accommodation and includes all modern electical appliances, including a dishwasher. The utility room contains an automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, sink and freezer. A huge drying cabinet is provided for wet walking gear. As well as a small breakfast bar, there is a large circular table which seats up to eight people. Sliding doors give access to a stone patio in the rear garden which enjoys sunshine from midday until sunset and is ideal for summer barbeques. The lounge area contains several large sofas and chairs, furniture, a satellite television with video recorder, board games and books. A separate utility room contains an automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, sink and freezer. A huge drying cabinet is provided for wet walking gear.
Upstairs are four bedrooms with luxury bathroom and roomy airing cupboard. All the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and drawers, three of the rooms have washbasins and the fourth room contains bunk beds with full size mattresses. Throughout you will find a beautifully decorated house with co-ordinated papers, fabrics and fittings of the highest quality.
