In the centre of Wakefield, The Bank House is a small comfortable licensed hotel. Built in 1876 on a narrow cobblestone street in the city's conservation area it is very continental in its appearance and atmosphere. A young and friendly team present all the services you expect at the finest hotels with rates you might find at a Bed and Breakfast style accommodation.

The rooms are small but tastefully furnished in a traditional fashion, most with king size beds, trouser press and full en suite facilities. Family and crew rooms are available if required.

Ideally situated only three minutes walk from the main (Westgate) railway station, five minutes from the National Coach/Bus terminus and The Ridings shopping complex. The hoel is very close to the Theatre Royal/Opera House and all that the popular Westgate night life has to offer. Parking is often available in the bays at the front of the building and a further 100 spaces are 2 minutes walk away.

We can arrange to meet you at the railway station, bus station or Leeds/Bradford airport with our courtesy shuttle bus (free of charge within the Wakefield district).

Four star services include:

The Chantry Bar, frequented by many famous actors from the closeby Theatre Royal. The intimate bar built from Brazilian mahogany offers a selection of draught beers, international bottled largers, liquers and cocktails.
