On the South Ayrshire coast by a remnant of the ancient coach road, four miles north of Ballantrae and nine miles south of Girvan, Gull Cottage occupies a unique situation near the village of Lendalfoot. The main road has been rerouted further up the hill leaving the cottage in a setting that is peaceful yet enjoying easy access.

The cottage has been extensively modernised and is furnished to a high standard. Kitchen fittings include an electric cooker, fridge and washer/drier. A large window provides ample light and an uninterrupted view of the sea. The bathroom, with the kitchen, forms part of the new 'wing'and is well appointed. The lounge/dining room, with its exposed timber beams, is on two levels; an open fireplace at one end is balanced by the picture window on the higher level at the seaward side. An open staircase leads to the two bedrooms which sleep five. A cot is also available.

Steps lead down to the beach and bathing is safe, though the shore is predominantly rocky.
