The house is situated in five acres of ground which includes a tennis court. Highfield is on the edge of a village, ten miles from the centre of Edinburgh, very close to a station and most convenient for the Airport.

Stirling, the Trossachs, St. Andrew's, the Highlands and Border Country are all within easy reach, making Highfield a good base for touring Scotland.

Many golf courses nearby, including the Championship course at Dalmahoy. Other activities include ski-ing, riding, sailing and canoeing.

Accommodation comprises:

• Bedroom One - Twin/double bedded room with bath/shower room ensuite.
• Bedroom Two - Twin bedded room with shower room ensuite.
• Bedroom Three - Twin bedded with private bath/shower room.

All bedrooms have tea/coffee making facilities, electric blankets, radio, television and hairdryers.

A drawing room with open fire is also available for the use of guests.

Breakfast is served in the dining room and can be a fully cooked Scottish meal with free range eggs, home-made marmalade and jams, or if preferred, the continental version.

The owner, Jill, is very happy to advise on particular sites of interest in the area or further afield.
