Penrith is a small market town on the edge of the Lake District National Park and just a short drive from the M6 Motorway. It is an ideal situation for exploring the Lake District and the Penine regions. The Cathedral City of Carlisle and historic Hadrian's Wall are a pleasant drive away. It is also an ideal stop off point if you are driving up to Scotland.

The White House is sitiated in a heritage area of Penrith. A Victorian town house, we are just a short walk from the attractive town centre. There are plenty of shops to browse and cafes to pause for a rest. Penrith is the ideal base for exploring the Lake District, whether you are heading up the fells or driving around them. To add interest, we have an ever-changing display of art work in the house.

We have two spacious and very comfortable double bedrooms. Twin and family accommodation can also be arranged. The rooms are newly decorated and have en suite facilities, with both bath, shower and heated towel rails! Colour television and tea and coffee making facilities are provided for your comfort.

I am happy to deal with special requests or advise on where to go - just ask. Breakfast is served in our bright and airey dining room. Cumberland sausage, free range eggs and home made jams are normally on the menu to set you up for a good days walking or sightseeing.
