Garth House is a turreted mansion house, built in the Scottish Baronial style in 1834 and stands by the River Lyon, amid forests, heather moors and dramatic mountains in the very heart of Scotland.

Golf, hill walking, riding, fishing and water sports are all available within 4 miles.

This is a stunning location just off the main tourist routes, yet with local shopping 7 miles away, and hotels within 2 miles.

Guests can enjoy lochs and mountains nearby, or use Garth House as a base for exploring Scotland, or just relaxing in the peaceful garden. The house stands in 4 acres of formal gardens, play areas and woodland walks and maze, and is a safe environment for children.

There is ample car parking and barbecues are available.

Garth House has two self catering apartments, Apartment A sleeps 10 persons and Apartment B sleeps 5 persons. For larger parties, or for those requiring more space, the two apartments may be booked together and they are connected by a first floor corridor.

Apartment A

This large apartment, with Victorian interior, comprises of cloakroom, utility area, fully fitted kitchen with commercial sized appliances and a large lounge/dining room which has panelling throughout. A spiral tower staircase leads to bedroom 1 (double), bedroom 2 (3 single), bedroom 3 (twin) and bedroom 4 (1 double, 1 single), bathroom with wc and shower room with wc. A cot is available.
Apartment B

This first floor apartment has its own separate entrance and a broad staircase leads to utility area, bedroom 1 (1 double, 1 single) bedroom 2 (twin), panelled bathroom with electric shower, large lounge/dining room with beautiful views, and fully fitted kitchen. A cot is also available in bedroom 1.

 

Facilities in both apartments include television, video, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave.

Gas, linen and towels are included in the prices and electricity is extra by meter reading (approx £3-£4.00/day in summer and £6-£8.00/day in winter for apartment A, and half these costs for apartment B).

A deposit of 25% is required on booking and the balance to be paid four weeks before the start of your holiday.

Entry to commence after 4pm on the Saturday of booking, and to leave by 10am on the Saturday of departure.

Should you wish a 'starter' pack of milk, bread, eggs, etc to be ready for your arrival, then a list can be sent to you with your final invoice.
