Lamont Holiday Homes are situated some two miles from Glenelg village on the main A87 route to Kyle of Lochalsh. We have three types of accommodation - a bungalow, five chalets and one caravan.
THE BUNGALOW.
This occupies its own private site, is modern with three double bedrooms - two twins and one double, sleeping six persons altogether. Camp beds are also available for additional numbers. The lounge has an open fire and colour television. There is off peak central heating throughout and the bungalow is double glazed. The completely new fitted kitchen has a washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher. The bathroom has a bath and a shower.
THE CHALETS.
There are five bungalow-type chalets, well spaced over their own site. Four have three bedrooms a piece - one with double bed, and twins in each of the two others - plus lounge, kitchen and shower rooms. The remaining chalet has two bedrooms, one double, one twin and has a bath and a shower.
THE CARAVAN.
This stands in its own ground. It has one double bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds, plus living and kitchen areas, toilet and shower. Cooking and water heating is by gas which is included in the price.
All properties are well equipped and all have colour television. There is a laundry with washing machines and tumble driers and an indoor playroom with snooker and table tennis on site, for use by all properties. Children and pets are welcome. There is ample parking space and access roads to the chalets are tarred.
Glenelg is a hidden corner of the Western Highlands visited only by those in the know. A truely inspiring place of unspoilt beauty, of vibrant Highland culture and of remarkable history, much in evidence. Local boats can be hired for sea fishing or sightseeing. There is a wide sandy beach. It is THE place to view the dramatic Highland landscape, to walk and climb, to explore its antiquities, and to observe the diversity of its wildlife. In terms of varity and rarity however, it is probably for its birdlife, especially its sea birds, that Glenelg is most highly regarded.
