Surrounded by hills overlooking the beautiful Vale of Clwyd stands Llainwen Ucha - a dairy farm with unrivalled views of such splendour! The nearest town is medieval Ruthin which boasts its own castle, craft centre and livestock market, together with many indigenous shops and fascinating architecture.
Energetic visitors will be keen to walk Offa's Dyke which traverses the Clwydian range and provides spectacular views of the Welsh coastline and Snowdonia National Park in the distance, whilst the keen gardener will appreciate the world famous Bodnant Gardens.
Fishermen are well catered for in the nearby Bala Lake and Llyn Brenig as well as our local rivers.
A mere 8 miles away is Llangollen, "The Land of Song" as it is sometimes called. Other attractions are a canal which is spanned by the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct built by Thomas Telford; a steam railway and Plas Newydd, the home of the Ladies of Llangollen from 1780 until 1829.
Relics of our fiery history abound with castles in Llangollen, Rhuddlan, Conway, Denbigh and Boddelwyddan to name but a few.
For the family holiday, the coast is a necklace of seaside resorts, with Rhyl as the main attraction - sun centre, fun fair and Europe's lagest fun pool.
The City of Chester, with its unique medieval Rows, outstanding shopping facilities, City walls and zoo ofers visitors our rich heritage.
On arrival at LLainwen Ucha a typical Welsh welcome immediately envelopes you and the farmhouse cooking, using fresh local produce, has to be sampled to be believed.
We are verified annually by the Welsh Tourist Board and the accommodation is of a high standard, comprising of one double room, one family bedroom with three single beds and one single room, all of which have views of magnificent hills. There is a lounge downstairs with television for residents use, but with all the above on offer, we can't see you spending much time inside watching television!
