Alan and Margo Lockey welcome you to Ravenscourt House. Formerly the Manse, Ravenscourt House is a delightful 19th century stone building, the interior of which has been tastefully and carefully refurbished with the aim of both preserving and enhancing the qualities inherent in the original house.

It is a consequence of the care and attention lavished on the rooms at Ravenscourt that visitors arriving for the first time to a real Highland welcome, instantly recognise this to be a house of outstanding quality, so that the ambience created suceeds in becoming a major factor in the enjoyment of their stay.

The remarkable residents'lounges exude an elegance rarely seen today, and the many fine original oil paintings and watercolours, together with sumptious furnishings and matching decor, create just the right atmosphere for complete relaxation.

Ravenscourt has a residents' licence, and guests are invited to sit in the evening with a drink whilst enjoying their surroundings. During the winter a log fire contributes to the welcoming atmosphere in which visitors are keen to plan the next day's sightseeing.

The period style dining room has a cosy, intimate atmosphere created by soft pastels colours, elegant chairs and soft wool carpeting. Dinner is by arrangement only, with traditional home style cooking using local regional fresh Scottish produce. Private parties up to 40 people can be catered for.

Each of the bedrooms has a spacious elegance which extends to the en suite facilities featuring luxury showers. All rooms incorporate full central heating, separate hand basin, shaver points and electric blankets. There are also tea/coffee hospitality trays, hair dryers and colour television.

Grantown-on-Spey is a popular summer and winter resort situated amidst some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland. It is an ideal centre for a Highland touring holiday, being within very easy reach of the Cairngorm mountains, Braemar, Balmoral and the famous beaches of the Moray coast. Loch Ness and the famous historic Highland Capital of Inverness are a short drive away.

Come and enjoy some of the beautiful walks through the pinewoods and along the banks of the River Spey. The area is renowned for its abundance of wildlife with ospreys and golden eagles nearby.

The local golf course has a beautiful setting, and there are tennis courts, bowling greens, pony trekking, shooting, stalking and salmon and trout fishing. There is unlimited walking and climbing on peaks up to 4000 feet.

In the winter, skiing, curling, skating and mountaineering are outstanding, and the principal Cairngorm ski runs are 20 minutes away. Local ski schools provide instruction and equipment.
