Kylesku is a delightfully quiet village, the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The new Kylesku Bridge makes this the ideal base from which to explore the dramatic scenery of Cape Wrath, Durness and Smoo Cave in the north-west, whilst to the south, Ullapool and Lochinver are also wihin easy reach.

The Hotel is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Sullivan, Quinaig, Ben More Assynt, among others provide challenges for serious climbers and their foothills offer easier walks for the slightly less adventurous. A superb location for geological exploration. The unspoilt terrain is also home to a host of different species of wildlife. Sightings of Deer, Badgers, Pinemartins and Wild Cats are far from uncommon. Handa Island is only ten minutes drive and is an island paradise for birdwatchers.

Sutherland provides some of the best fishing in Scotland. The Hotel has the right to several lochs that annually yield good fish. The Kylesku Hotel also maintains a boat for sea-fishing.

It is only a few miles to Britain's highest waterfall 'Eas Coul Aulin' and visits can be made by boat. The voyage also includes visits to the Seal Islands, and the hopeful sighting of a Golden Eagle and of course the waterfall itself, dropping from an incredible 658 feet.

Bedrooms are en suite and are centrally heated and equipped with television, tea/coffee making facilities etc. Both the restaurant and the bar menu's specialise in locally caught seafood and venison (in season), and the food is rarely equalled anywhere in the North of Scotland for quality and value. Kylesku's menu also provides for vegetarians and other special diet requirements.
