The picturesque village of Kirkmichael lies in a typical Highland glen surrounded by heather covered mountains and pine forests, and has a long history stretching back more than a thousand years. Today it is a busy but peaceful community with hotels offering bars and meals to suit all tastes, an excellent shop and a petrol station

Further facilities including theatres, Leisure Centre and swimming pool are in the neighbouring towns of Pitlochry and Blairgowrie, which are 12 miles on either side of Kirkmichael and for the children there are play areas and a sports court. Despite the feeling of remote isolation, Kirkmichael is easily accessible with the motorway system only 30 miles away, and for guests without transport, London trains stop at Pitlochry and free station transfers are available on request,

Our properties are traditional stone built village cottages which have been fully modernised and equipped to a high standard as complete family holiday homes. All properties have full electric heating and are suitable for a holiday at any time of the year. Conveniently situated in the centre of Kirkmichael village they are within easy walking distance of pubs and restaurants. Everything is provided for a relaxed carefree holiday and each cottage has a full modern kitchen, microwave, modern bathroom with bath and shower, sky television, tourist information, off-street parking, etc. Beds are made up with duvets and all bed linen is supplied. Cots and towels are available on request.

Each house is inspected and graded annually by the Scottish Tourist Board and will be throughly prepared for your arrival with heating on as required. The local resident proprietors are always available to answer queries, provide local information and help guests make the most of their holiday.

BAKEHOUSE COTTAGE - Two storey cottage sleeping two adults and two children. A superb conversion of the old village bakehouse retaining the character of the original building with open pine beams and staircase combined with a comfortable modern interior. Open plan lounge/dining area/kitchen, bathroom, double bedroom and a smaller twin room ideal for children, teenagers or one adult. Bakehouse Cottage has a small enclosed patio/garden with garden furniture to the rear, which is perfect for children playing, outdoor meals or relaxing. This is the ideal cottage for couples, young families or three adults.

MACDONALD COTTAGE - Ground floor apartment sleeping four. Recently renovated and converted to give an exceptionally comfortable and cosy apartment with open plan lounge/dining area/kitchen, bathroom, double bedroom and twin bedroom. On a corner site, MacDonald Cottage looks down the village street to the bridge and church. As all accommodation is on the ground floor with easy access without steps, it is especially suitable for the elderly or disabled guests.

Both properties have been completely modernised and have modern kitchens with full electric cooker, microwave, fridge and automatic washer/drier, modern bathrooms with bath/shower, electric heating throughout, sky television, off-street parking, tourist information etc.
