Marlborough Lodge is a smart London townhouse in the ultra-chic area of
Westbourne Grove. Set in the heart of fashionable Notting Hill, only five
underground stops from Oxford Circus and within walking distance of Hyde Park
and Kensington High Street, this is a superb location for the tourist or
business traveller. Restaurants, cafe bars and antique shops abound in the area.
The famous Portobello Road Saturday Market is just a few hundred yards away.
Each apartment occupies the whole of one floor of this five storey house. The principal rooms face south and the generous proportions ensure that each apartment is spacious and light. Many of the original Victorian architectural features have been retained.
The apartments have been redecorated and furnished comfortably to provide you
with a welcoming home-from-home base in Central London. Each apartment is
self-contained and benefits from a separate central heating system. The
apartments come complete with all linens, towels, crockery, cutlery and cooking
utensils. Washing machine and laundry facilities are available for the use of
guests.
Originally built around 1846, this terrace of townhouses has been lovingly restored and renovated ensuring that they maintain their Victorian splendour. Kensington Palace (home of Princess Diana), Holland Park, Hyde Park, and of course all the locations for the recent hit film "Notting Hill" are within strolling distance. Kensington's famous avenue of Museums, the National and Tate Galleries and Theatreland are all easily accessible. Numerous restaurants, pubs, cafes, boutiques and main store shopping make the area one of the most vibrant and desirable places to live in London. Pop stars, authors, artists, actors and politicians have chosen to live in the area - they like the community feel that still exists here.
Public transport by Underground, Bus or Rail is conveniently at hand. Paddington Station provides easy access to and from Heathrow Airport with the added convenience of baggage check-in there, whilst Victoria Station, a short bus or taxi ride away, serves Gatwick Airport and the Channel Ports.
