The comings and goings of the St Ola ferry can also be seen in and out of Stromness which is how you arrive on the Orkneys. The property can accommodate up to six people and comprises of:- lounge, dinette, kitchen, bathroom and four bedrooms. From the back of the house, where there is an area of unclaimed land, you can see lots of wild birds, rabbits, wild ducks and sometimes an owl. There is space for two cars - one at the front and the other at the side of the house. Towels and linen can be supplied by prior arrangement, for a small extra charge. The local shop is about three miles away and opens on a Saturday evening and Sundays. The Post Office is in the same building. There is no advanced grocery order service available, but Presto in Kirkwall and Mill Stores in Stromness is open on Sundays. We have a local newspaper called The Orcadian, which is on sale every Thursday and Radio Orkney is on the air from Monday to Friday at 07.30 a.m.to 08.00 a.m. and Friday evenings on FM. Helpful Tourist literature and telephone numbers are in the bungalow. Sorry, NO pets allowed. We hope you enjoy your holiday in Orkney and that you have favourable weather for your stay.
